  • £7,500 off an air-to-water or ground source heat pump.
  • £2,500 off an air-to-air heat pump (new from 2026).
  • £9,000 for some off-gas-grid homes replacing an oil or LPG system.

Heads-up: in October 2026 press reports said ministers were considering cuts to the scheme's funding. Nothing had been confirmed when we checked.

EV chargepoint grants

  • Residential landlords and households with on-street parking also have grants. The schemes run until 31 March 2027, which is billed as their final year.
  • Homeowners in a house with a driveway are not eligible. You must use an OZEV-authorised installer.

Smart Export Guarantee (selling solar power)

Larger electricity suppliers have to pay you for the power you export from an MCS-certified solar or battery system. Each supplier sets its own rate, so shop around, and look at time-of-use tariffs if you have a battery.
